About Vanessa Barton

Vanessa brings over 35 years of experience in classical ballet, performing arts and entertainment.

​

She is classically trained in Vaganova technique and had the opportunity to travel and collaborate with various ballet companies and schools around the US. Her background includes training and collaboration with Irina Kolpakova and Eldar Aliev of Ballet International-Indianapolis, Ron Guidi of Oakland Ballet, Brue Caldwell of Ballet West, Rodeny Gustafson of State Street Ballet, the Sacramento Ballet, San Francisco Ballet, Edge Performing Arts Center and the Millenium Dance Complex in Los Angeles, CA.

She has won various scholarships and accolades during her dance career, including Youth America Grand Prix (YAGP) in the early 2000s, and Paula Abdul’s Co. Dance.

​

She also has experience performing in the industry of magic and illusion, along with film and commercial work.

​

Vanessa has been providing dance instruction for 20 years and considers Reno, NV to be home. She has instructed at many studios across the greater Reno area and at various dance studios around the country. Teaching is a true passion, and she enjoys working with students of all ages. She is truly excited to be part of the NNBA team and looks forward to promoting a love for dance in younger generations.
